Nursing Care

Beechgrove Care Home is a purpose-built nursing care home located in a leafy area surrounded by countryside within a prominent position in South Lanarkshire that provides excellent nursing care for older people. We go above and beyond to ensure that each and every one of our residents is happy and comfortable by treating each individual with the utmost respect and dignity.

Those with more complex care needs, such as physical needs, long-term sickness or end-of-life care, are looked after by dedicated members of the team. Each resident is allocated a nurse who will become a familiar face to them and will answer any questions or concerns they or their family members may have. We provide private en suite accommodation for all residents receiving nursing care, including wheelchair access across the home.

Nursing Care FAQs

The type of nursing care given to an individual will depend on the needs of the individual. However, at Beechgrove Care Home, we can provide a range of different nursing services from medication management and wound care, to help with activities of daily living and support with physical disabilities, mental health conditions and sensory impairment.

You should consider nursing care when you notice any of the below:

  • Worsening chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, or dementia
  • Difficulty performing activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, or grooming
  • Recent falls, injuries, hospitalisations or emergency room visits
  • Significant weight loss or changes in appetite
  • Increased confusion or forgetfulness
  • Difficulty managing medications or complying with treatment plans
  • Need for specialised medical equipment or care, such as oxygen therapy or wound care

Our nursing team will assess the level of care that is required and provide advice on the most suitable care approach for you or your loved one. It is important when making the decision to go into a care home to communicate openly with your loved ones and ensure that the individual requiring care is involved in the decision-making process as much as possible.

Beechgrove Care Home takes the responsibility of ensuring the safety of its residents very seriously. We achieve this by ensuring adequate staffing levels are achieved, the nursing team is properly trained and qualified, protocols for infection control and medication management are implemented, and regular safety audits and assessments are conducted. We also put the relevant security measures in place to prevent unauthorised access and to protect the safety of each resident.

At Beechgrove Care Home, we require a 28-day notice period for residents receiving any of our long-term care types and are looking to move out. Our compassionate team are on hand around the clock to support you with your moving transition and answer any further questions you have.
