Exploring Lanark & The Surrounding Areas
We are lucky to be located within an ideal location for residents to explore their local community of Lanark. Beechgrove Care Home is situated down a quiet road surrounded by countryside and just a short drive from Lanark town centre. Our home exudes a relaxing atmosphere where residents can spend their time doing the things that bring them the most joy while in the capable hands of our loving team.
Our Activities Team organises regular trips into Lanark for residents to enjoy a fun-filled day out away from the home. Barons Haugh Nature Reserve provides a peaceful walking environment where visitors can admire the wildlife that resides on the outskirts of the River Clyde. North Lanarkshire Heritage Centre is a nearby museum with fascinating exhibitions suitable for all ages and great for families.
A recommended visit is Chatelherault Country Park, offering an interactive heritage exhibition, within beautiful 18th-century gardens that can be explored, featuring a herbaceous border and bowling green. Amazonia is a popular day out for the whole family, showcasing an indoor tropical rainforest with over 70 different species to spot, and a nocturnal area where you can see the animals who are active at night in a dark room.
