Mini Petting Zoo

One of our residents favourite activity sessions is meeting and greeting animals - in all shapes and sizes! Today we had a local petting zoo visit Beechgrove Care Home who brought a variety of animals.

Residents held some cute furry friends such as rabbits and guinea pigs. The animals were very well behaved and happily sat on residents' laps as they received lots of love and attention.

Residents were very brave and held some not so "cute" animals... but fascinating none-the-less! Our residents were heavily engaged in the exotic animals while they learnt lots of facts about their lifestyles.

We regularly invite animals from petting zoos as well as family pets into our home as often as possible as animals never fail to brighten up our residents' days and improve emotional well-being.

We look forward to having more animals in our home in the near future. If you would like to learn more about the activities we provide at Beechgrove Residential Home in Lanarkshire or anything else about our care, do not hesitate to contact our friendly team who will be thrilled to answer your questions.
