Beechgrove Hosts a Fabulous Funraising Evening
Residents, staff, families, and members of the Lanark community recently came together for a night of fun, laughter, and charity, as Beechgrove Care Home hosted a fantastic evening to raise funds for Make a Wish UK. Held at the local church hall, the event was a resounding success, raising an impressive £900 for the charity, which helps grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.
Our fabulous bingo night was a great way to raise money for a worthy cause and a brilliant opportunity for the residents to get out and about, socialise, and enjoy an evening with family, friends, and new faces from the community.
A Fun-Filled Evening for a Great Cause
Residents, their families, staff, and members of the public enjoyed a fab evening—bingo cards were handed out, and as the numbers were called, the room was filled with laughter, cheers, and the occasional shout of "Bingo!" as lucky winners claimed their prizes.
It wouldn’t have been a proper bingo night without delicious food and drink to keep everyone fuelled! Hot dogs were served to keep everyone going and the option of a wee drink added a little something extra to the evening. The simple but tasty spread kept spirits high as people chatted, mingled, and took a break between rounds of bingo. Residents loved the chance to relax and have a bite to eat in the company of their loved ones, while the familiar setting of the local church hall provided a cosy and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. The staff at Beechgrove Care Home also took part in the evening, helping to run the event and enjoying the games and conversation alongside the residents.
Bringing the Community Together
One of the highlights of the evening was how it brought the Beechgrove Care Home residents and the local Lanark community together. Events like this help bridge the gap between the care home and the surrounding community, creating opportunities for connection, conversation, and mutual support.
